Connecting Is Fun: Famili Friendli Website and App Design

BACKGROUND

This startup was formed by 4 co-founders who envisioned a type of "Yelp" but with a clear and proper children orientation. "Famili Friendli" is a multinational search engine and guide for business and activities suitable for families.

It also operated as a review site where users can share, recommend and rate places appropriate for families (parks, entertainment venues, restaurants and so on).

THE CHALLENGE

Since this was a new product with no visual language, the immediate need was to decide how the "Famili Friendli" brand will shape up and influence the website and mobile application. There was also a need to review and study other competitors in the field, in order to create a new and never before seen kind of website.

In addition, the new look and feel has to be laid out so that both platforms (mobile and desktop) will look appealing and logical.

Keeping a light yet logical look and feel helped in building these platforms from scratch.
